Our annual Danival's Winter Festival, located in the Festival Grounds on the Vinca, is sure to put you in the spirit for winter. Help us celebrate the joys of the season, including Furcadia's 17th birthday (December 16th), Furcadia-style! This year, we're offering four (a Winter Dream Contest, a Falling in Love Art Contest, a Holiday Song Furcadian Style Contest, and Pets in Holiday Style Photography Contest) of our infamous contests for you to participate in, with a few unique twists. The Festival will feature sleigh rides, mistletoe, snowball fights, stocking caps, mittens, a community gingerbread house, and, of course, let's not forget plenty of snow!

Expect to see various members of Dragon's Eye Productions with fun and exciting ways to celebrate the coldest (thus, coolest!) festival of the year!

 General Contest Information 

Theme: Slip, Slidin' Away!

  • All entries are to be sent to the specialized submission form!
  • Extension! All entries must be received by 11:59pm FST on January 19th!
  • The contests will be prejudged before posting and finalists will be posted on the Festival page and in the dream.
  • Upon submission, you grant Dragon's Eye Productions permission to post your work and share it with the community. Dragon's Eye Productions may post, edit, and distribute creative contributions made through contests freely to players and for promotion of Furcadia.
  • Any entries not meeting the requirements will be disqualified and none are guaranteed a prize.
  • All entries must conform to Furcadia's T+ standard or lower.
  • Please note that while players may enter more than one contest, only ONE entry is accepted for each contest.
  • Don't worry if you don't see your entries on the entry pages! Entries can take up to 3 days to appear on this page. Contact The Beekin Scribes if there's a problem with your entry.
Dream Contest

Fresh fallen snow, pure ice...the hustle and bustle of the season! It's time time for racing! We challenge you, dreamweavers, to make a multiplayer racing dream (think similar to Mario Kart!). Get together with a team or go solo, and show off your skills! (To help you out, we're giving you an example! Here's the DS for the flying carpets in new FurN!)

Art: Create A Scene

Artists! This winter we invite you to create a digital scene! Utilizing mistletoe or a 'kissing ball' as a required element in your piece, illustrate what 'Falling in Love' might look like in this chilly time of year! Please include multiple characters in your submission!

  • Required elements: Mistletoe or kissing ball, multiple characters.
  • All entries must be 600x800 or smaller.
  • Accepted formats are: .png, .gif, .jpg
  • All images should be optimized for digital display on a webpage. Transparent backgrounds, clean edges, and well-contrasted pictures are a plus.
  • Please note in the text field whether this is a master or regular entry!

Social Media: Holiday Song, Furcadia Style!

This winter, we are challenging our players to stretch themselves in new, innovative ways! Take a holiday song and 'Furcadian-ize' it! Be creative and record yourself--then put it up on Youtube! Link us and give us a copy of your video!

  • Remember to keep your video T+!
  • Creativity counts! We are looking for a Furcadian-ized holiday song!
  • Please cap your video at 4 minutes, tops!
